This book has three parts: industrial cultivation, industrial organization and market regulation. The book, a collection of the author’s published works, is written by Lu Wei, a research fellow and Director-General of Research Department of Techno-economy of DRC. She has long been engaged in policy research and consultation work. Over the years, she has made in-depth study in many fields including policies on industrial economy and industrial organization, innovation system and science & technology, intellectual property rights, hi-tech technology and equipment-manufacturing industry, competition and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), as well as the demonstration analysis of some major projects.

The first part of this book is industrial cultivation, which gives an introduction to the characteristics of strategic emerging industries and relevant options, the problems needed to be addressed in developing strategic emerging industries, specific issues in the growth of industries like information technology and Internet of things, and technological innovation of SMEs.

The second part centers on industrial organization, mainly discussing the problems of structural adjustment and technology upgrading in traditional industries such as nuclear power industry, administrative industry, petroleum chemical industry, and auto industry, etc.

The third part is market regulation, and it touches upon anti-monopoly supervision issues in industrial development process, including international comparison and references about antimonopoly law, the antimonopoly principles, criterion and implementation, the basic mode and options for making governmental regulations on monopoly pricing, and antimonopoly case analysis.
