Research Report, No. 243, 2019 (Total 5743) 2019-12-27

Abstract: Since the launch of the three-year action plan to improve rural living environment, remarkable results have been achieved on addressing rural problems, especially that of domestic waste that has long plagued rural areas. However, there are still some prominent difficulties remaining to be removed, notably the renovation of sanitary toilets and sewage disposal. As an underdeveloped county in the mountainous area based on agriculture development in Guangdong province, Deqing county has drawn reference from the experience of developed areas such as Zhejiang province and pushed ahead with the improvement of rural living environment in light of local conditions, making tangible progress in toilet renovation and disposal of garbage and waste water projects. According to the practices in Deqing, the above-mentioned projects are closely linked to each other, which need to be advanced step by step and with targeted and differentiated measures.
