Research Report, No.51, 2021 (Total 6116) 2021-3-15

Abstract: Since the 18th CPC National Congress, a number of policies for the training of vocational workers catered to elderly care service have been rolled out and put into effect, and these policies have greatly fleshed out the personnel training system and methods and largely improved the nursing conditions for the elderly. However, the vocational personnel training for elderly care also faces some challenges. For example, the elderly care service lacks unified standards, the number of workers for elderly care cannot meet social demands, the structure of nursing personnel training is imbalanced and the old care service industry and vocational personnel training is not properly integrated. To promote the development of vocational personnel training for elderly care and increase the number of caregivers in elderly care service, it is urgent to clarify the standards of the elderly nursing service industry, optimize the settings of elderly nursing vocational colleges and professional clusters according to local conditions, create a multi-level and multi-channel elderly nursing personnel training pattern, take multiple measures to further the integration of service industry with personnel training and establish a coordinated institutional mechanism for the development of medical and elderly care service with the training of vocational workers.
