Abstract: As one of the newly-raised topics in the international community, children development, as a consensus of all parties, boasts great significance to curb the inter-generational poverty and promote social equality. The global spread of COVID-19 pandemic and the new world landscape in which we are facing a major change that’s rarely seen in a century have continuously posed great challenges to children development and governance in the world, which, however, also offered China the opportunities to increase its participation and influence in the global children governance issues. Internally, China needs to underpin sustainable poverty alleviation, realize high-quality development and accelerate common prosperity by focusing on proactive action on the children development issue, Externally, efforts are needed to prioritize children development in the global macro-policy framework system based on combination of the knowledge products and governance experience of China. What’s more, work also needs to be done to set children development agenda beyond borders and specific areas, offering public products, China’s plans and international cooperation guidelines for global children development.
