Lu Hao, president of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and chair of the China Development Forum 2026, recently held separate meetings with business leaders and prominent international scholars attending the forum.

They included Teo Chee Hean, Chairman of Temasek Holdings; Sir Andrew Mackenzie, Chair of Shell; Philipp Navratil, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé; Lars-Hendrik Röller, Founder and Chair of Berlin Global Dialogue; Peter Howitt, Professor Emeritus at Brown University and a 2025 Nobel laureate in economic sciences; and Michael Kremer, a University of Chicago professor and 2019 Nobel laureate in economic sciences.

Lu listened to their views on major issues concerning the Chinese and global economies and exchanged views with them on issues of mutual interest.

The two sides also expressed their intention to further expand institutional dialogue, exchanges and joint research.
