The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) held a closed-door roundtable in Beijing on March 23 during the China Development Forum 2026.

Lu Hao, president of the DRC and chair of the forum, chaired the meeting and delivered concluding remarks. DRC Vice Presidents Long Guoqiang and Zhang Qi attended the meeting and delivered remarks.

Nearly 30 representatives from multinational companies, international think tanks and other institutions attended the roundtable.

Participants exchanged views on major issues concerning the Chinese and global economies and on new opportunities for multinational companies to invest and cooperate in China as the country expands high-standard opening-up during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
