The Department of Macro-economy studies and analyzes macroeconomic conditions and the circulation of the national economy; fiscal, monetary and other macro-control policies. It studies marginal changes in economic factors and their impacts; the macroeconomic governance system; and fiscal and tax systems and reform. It also advances macroeconomic decision-support through big data, artificial intelligence and other tools, conducts economic monitoring, forecasting and evaluation, and puts forward corresponding policy advice and recommendations.
