The Institute for Market Economy is a Category I public-service institution directly under the DRC. It studies the theory and practice of market development and reform in China, with a focus on development policies relating to prices and market systems, consumption and distribution, the service sector, cities and real estate, and puts forward policy recommendations. It also undertakes interpretation and evaluates policies in relevant fields, carries out international cooperation and exchanges, and provides related consulting services.
