The Institute for Euro-Asian Social Development  established in July 1989, is one of the DRC's institutions specializing in international studies. It conducts research  on political, economic and social developments in Eurasian countries, their external political and economic relations and domestic and foreign policies, and the interactions between developments in the region and global political and economic trends. It provides information, consultation and policy recommendations for governments.
